He was predeceased by: his son Donald J. Fern, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Janet Arnold (Rich) and Brenda Gillmore (James); his grandson Justin Fern Dana (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Alexis Leu, Kenzi, Rylli Proshek Kali, Caleb and Dominic Thielen.
