He is survived by: his wife Connie Schroeder; his children, Dana Schmidt (Tim), Lisa Schultz (Jay Gleason) and Peter Schultz (Chris); his grandchildren, Kerrianne Powers (Zachary), Cory Ahrens (Melissa), Adam Ahrens (Elisabeth), Benjamin Litwin and Isabelle Swartz; his stepgrandchildren, Sarah, Renee Schmidt and Zachary Isaacson; his great grandchildren, Jacob Detwiler, Lillian and David Ahrens; and his siblings, Lynn (Pat), Jeff (Kathy), Steve (Cindy), Mark Schultz (Chris) and Karen Welborn (Larry).
