She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Ferner and Jayne Ferner (Thorley); her husband Carlton Sturm; her sons, Thomas Edward Sturm (Emilie), Kenneth Michael Sturm (LuAnn) and Douglas Alan Sturm; her grandchildren, Jacob, Autumn Sturm, Kyle and Brendan Ellison; her siblings, William Ferner (Rosy), George Ferner (Shelley), Melinda Kennedy (Thomas) and David Ferner (Susan); her extended family Christine Floering; and her children, Marisa Swicegood (Dylan), Miranda, Chad Long and Presley Swicegood. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Weigel Funeral Homes - Swanton (204 Chestnut St, Swanton, OH 43558). A vigil service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A prayer was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 10:20 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Richard Catholic Church (333 Brookside Dr, Swanton, OH 43558).
