He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert D. Deel and Lorena A. Deel (Durigg); his former wives, Anita Scott Deel and Donna Flournoy Deel; and his son-in-law John Wade.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Deel (Tyler); his children, Natalie Deel Mason, Consuela Deel, Lynne Godey Jr. (Tommy), Mendy Wade (John), Howard "Bud" Johnson (Rhonda), Sheila Collins (Nelson), Clarence "Junior" Flournoy (Heather), Tyrone Flournoy and Kizzy Flournoy; his siblings, Lawerence Deel (Teresa), Deborah Burton (Nik) and Peggy Coleman (Keith); and his close friend Ron Brown. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 5 god children.
