With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John R Murray Jr. of Sunbury, Ohio, born in Marion, Ohio, who passed away on March 13, 2023 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Velda Hoffman (Bill) and John Murray (Doris); and his brother Frank Murray. He is survived by: his wife Mary Murray; his daughters, Shelley Davis (Anthony Ployhar), Staci Young (Eric) and Ashley Hinton (Kyle); his siblings, Susan Austin (Theresa) and Mark Murray (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Nicole Lendon (Colin Poulson), Ali Lendon (Ben Monico), Sophia Lendon (Matthew VanArsdale), Brian Murray-Young, Rachel Young, Lucas Hinton and Izzie Hinton; and his great grandchildren, Theo Poulson and Effie Poulson.

He worked for Orton Ceramic Foundation as a machinist, engineer and mechanic.
