He was predeceased by: his parents, Pastor Jesse and Nancy Jane Rice Sr (Coleman); and his siblings, Alline Hines, Charles D., William Rice and Paul Lee Rice.

He is survived by: his wife Dixie Rice (Mackley); his children, Jeff, Michelle Rice (Quelette), Randy Rice (April Schaad) and Brenda Ward (Mark Paggi); his grandchildren, Joshua Rice, Jesse Rice (Emily), Jacqueline Ward, Natalie Presler (Brad) and Mitchell Rice; his great grandchildren, Cambria, Savannah Ward, Eastyn and Chloe Rice; his brother Leo Rice (Violet); and his sisters-in-law, Dona Rice and Itsie Rice.
