He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Elby and Edna Marie Akers (Seabolt); his wife Shelley Akers; his children, Todd Akers (Jen) and Erica Stanley (Brian); his grandsons, Tyler, Zack, Lux and Zane; his aunt Pat Remley; his uncles, Bud Remley and Jack Seabolt; and his brother Steve Akers. He was also cherished by brother and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM and on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A rosary was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel (637 State Rte 61, Sunbury, OH 43074, USA). A Mass was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John Neumann Catholic Church (9633 OH-37, Sunbury, OH 43074).
