She was predeceased by: her parents, Pearl Lattimer and Eudella Hite Lattimer; her husband Rev. Donald Lee Cummans; her grandson Jacob Hughes; and her sisters, Juanita Smith and Phyllis Smith.

She is survived by: her daughters, Naomi McGrady (Jack) and Alicia Hughes (Dave); her grandchildren, Adam Hughes (Kristen) of Bedford, VA and Ellie Hughes; and her sister Priscilla Singer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
