He was predeceased by: his parents, John Coy and Pauline Coy (Impton); and his brother Jerry Coy. He is survived by: his wife Carol Ludemann; his children, Walter "Butch" Coy, Jr. (Carmen) of Stryker and Tricia Sanders (Tom) of Defiance; his grandchildren, Makayla Hildebrandt, Sherman Hildebrandt, Amelia Coy and Logan Coy; his sister Sharon Haye (Edwin) of Palmetto; and his sister-in-law Helen Coy of Bryan. He is also survived by one nephew and three nieces.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Evansport United Methodist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
