He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Ralph and Teresa Grace Goebel (Lambert). He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Metzger; his stepchildren, Maria Baumgartner (Chris) of Louisville, KY, Katherine Metzger of Ohio, William Metzger of Stryker and Michael Metzger of LaGrange, IN; his stepgrandchildren, Angelica Lowmaster (Lucas), Madeline Baumgartner and Anthony Spangler; his stepgreat-granddaughter Lydia Denice Lowmaster; and his siblings, James Goebel (Janet) and Joyce Laub.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
