He was predeceased by: his father Charles "Chuck" Heer; and his sister Kathy M. Douglas (Michael). He is survived by: his brother Ronald Heer (Cora Anne Kee) of Lake Seneca; his nieces and nephews, Jeremy, Ashley, Erin, Tammy and Emma Grace; his great-nephew Blaze; his great-niece Ember; and his aunts and uncles, Lowell Heer, Kenneth Godfrey, Linda Brown and Doris Holtz.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: New Hope Community Church, Bryan, Ohio or Quadco Rehabilitation Center, Stryker, Ohio.
