He was predeceased by: his parents, Stuart Hyatt and Millicent Hyatt (Helvoight); his wife Nancy K. Parker; and his sister Lyn Short (Nancy Hyatt). He is survived by: his close friend Bobbi Schlosser; his children, Douglas Hyatt (Rebecca) of Plain City, Timothy Hyatt (Angie) of Sylvania, David Hyatt of Lakewood and Emily Buckell (Tobias) of Bluffton; his grandchildren, Daniel, Allison, Rachel, Julian, Stuart, William, Ella, Calliope and Thalia; his great grandchildren, Samson and Breanna; his sister Ann Knott of Lewis Center; his brother-in-law Roger Short of Stryker; and also Ned Short.
