He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Goebel and Verle Goebel (Cook); his sisters, Normagene Andres and Betty Wieland; his siblings-in-law, Rosella Buehrer, Marvin Andres, Eldred Buehrer, Paul Nafziger and Gordon Albright; and also, Waldo and Florence Nafziger.

He is survived by: his wife Jeanette; his children, Rusty Goebel (Sue) and Jody Freeman (Michael); his grandchildren, Gregory Freeman (Beth), Lucas Goebel (Kelsey), Alexandra Kemmet (Ryan) and Jackie Goebel; his great grandchildren, Tanner, Lorelei Freeman, Khloe, Landon J Goebel, Kylee and Leighton Kemmet; and also Award.

Memorial contributions may be given to the First Lutheran Church of Stryker or the Stryker Athletic Boosters.
