Though Carol may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, G. Glen Bretthauer and Lena Bretthauer (Hawkins) of West Unity; her husband Vernon Clark Sloan; and her brother Maurice Bretthauer. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Rebecca McClarren (Judd) of Pettisville, Julia (Oleg Smirnoff) of New York City, Diana Sloan-Basner (Ralph) of Palmer, AK, Marcia Latta (Bob) of Bowling Green, Scott (April) of Stryker and Lisa of Westerville.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Stryker United Methodist Church (301 Cherry St, Stryker, OH 43557). A memorial service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
