He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren Martin and Nellie Nicholson Martin; the mother of his children JoAnn Watkins Martin; and his siblings, Genevieve Shipley, James "Jack" Martin and Robert Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Miller; his children, Russell L. Martin (Catherine) of Plant City, FL, Cynthia Heck (Robert) of Poland, OH, Rachel Coates (Gary) of Leland, NC and Joy Noble (Bradley) of Poland, OH; his stepchildren, Dawn, Tom, Matthew and Frank; his grandchildren, Sean Patrick Heck (Rochelle Boykin) of Hamilton, OH, Tara Plevniak-Fusco of Westlake, OH, Lauren Stewart (Shea) of Valley Forge, PA, Erin Shambaugh (Matthew) of Liberty Twp, Eli Martin of Plant City, FL, Joshua Noble (Gina Trimacco) of Poland, OH, Benjamin Noble (Gianna) of Edinburg, PA and Kathryne Noble (James Webster) of Hubbard, OH; and his great grandchildren, Victoria, Christian, Olivia, Emmaline, Nolan, Tanner, Cecilia, Reese, Brody and Barrett. He is also survived by eight step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home (270 N Main St, Poland, OH 44514). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial tributes may take the form of contributions in Mr. Martin's name to Hospice of the Valley.
