He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Boano and Margaret Boano (Yash); his brother Jack Boano; his niece Jackie Rotunno; and his great-niece Amy Rotunno.

He is survived by: his significant other Anne Boano (Simich); his children, Robert A. Boano (Theresa) of Poland, Ronald J. Boano of Austintown and Lori L. Ficorilli (Anthony) of Wheaton, IL; and his grandchildren, Robert, Rachel, Ryan, Dominic Boano, Joseph, Sophia, Olivia and Rocco Ficorilli. He is also survived by 6 nieces, 2 nephews, 7 great-nieces, and 3 great-nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home (11 Spring St, Struthers, OH 44471). A prayer was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church (764 5th St, Struthers, OH 44471).
