It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Duane Cannon of Struthers, Ohio, who passed away on September 26, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Cannon and Velma Rough Cannon; his stepfather Lester Brownlee; his sister Gail Unick; his daughter Tracie Hensley; his stepson Michael Macklen; and his son-in-law Ray Dudik.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Bott Macklen; his daughter Jill Dudik of Canfield; his stepchildren, Marilyn Planinsek (Edward) of Bridgeville, PA, Susan Simkins (Paul) of Austintown, Lori Macklen of Greenville, SC, Kevin Macklen (Debra) of The Villages, FL, Wayne Macklen (Rea) of Bethel Park, PA and Richard Macklen (Meribeth Pantall) of Struthers; and his daughter-in-law Denise Macklen of Pittsburgh, PA. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
In honor of Richard, his family requests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to his favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
