She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold O. Shaffer and Elsie E. McHugh; her husband Joseph C. Ruess, Jr.; her siblings, Harold "Dutch" Shaffer, Elmore "Moe" Shaffer and Carole Burke; and her siblings-in-law, Marlene Shaffer, Jackie Shaffer and Robert Burke.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa M. Liller of Struthers, Joeseph C. Ruess III (Rose) of Girard, William S. Ruess (Angela) of Struthers and Adam K. Ruess (Lila Hurst) of North Canton; her siblings, James Shaffer of Akron, Jack Shaffer (Tina) of Poland and Sharon Moison (Daniel) of Youngstown; and her sisters-in-law, Loretta Shaffer of Conneaut and Patty Patrick (Ronald) of Poland. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
