He was predeceased by: his parents, Clair Slagle and Sylvia Slagle (Spencer); and his siblings, Edward Slagle, Carolyn "Cookie" Banning and Louise Slagle.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Bauer; his daughter Evon Cavelli (Frank) of Boardman; his grandsons, David and A. J.; and his sister Mary Fennell.
