He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Bruton and Helen O. Bruton; his wife Helen C. Bruton; and his sister Helen J. Bruton. He is survived by: his children, William Bruton (Rosemary), Debra Bruton and Jean Lieb (John); his grandchildren, Amanda Bruton, Jessica Clark (Josh), Melissa Hagg (Mitch), Katherine (Leighton Proctor), William, Elizabeth Haas, Christopher (Anthea), Nathaniel (Shelby) and Hannah Lieb; and his siblings, Robert Bruton (Diane), Mary Lou Noble (Skip) and Kathleen Bruton. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catholic Charities of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland.
