He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Russel Baird and Edith Baird Adams (Forward); and his siblings, Melvin (Inge), Rodney Baird (Audrey) and June Corso (Bob).
He is survived by: his wife Rosanne; his children, William R. Baird and Diana M. Ragan (Baird); his son-in-law Stephen L. Ragan; his grandchildren, Noah B. Ragan, Amelia G. Ragan and Nicholas A. Baird; and his sister MaeBelle Wunderlin (Rudy).
