He was predeceased by: his father Stefan Scherer; and his brother Jim. He is survived by: his wife Donna Scherer; his sons, Steven Michael (Barbara), Bob (Angela) and Bill (Shanda); his grandchildren, Sean, Mike, Allie, Matt, Liam, Lydia and Donna; and his siblings, Ann Ruppaner (Wendell), Cathy and Joe Scherer.
