He was predeceased by: his great grandchild Callum Freeman; his parents, Ellen Colburn and Milton Colburn; and his siblings, Marilyn Cosner, Tom, Russell and E. Allen Colburn.

He is survived by: his wife Glenda; his children, Mary Scholes (Jay) and Alane Oster (Rob); his grandchildren, Sarah Freeman (Jason), Holly Blizman (Jeff), Kelsey Burkart (Jacob), Andrew Oster and Daniel Oster; his great grandchildren, Beckett Freeman, Lily, Noah Blizman and Decker Burkart; his sister Ann Ruscelli (Jack); and his cousin Rob Suttle (Pat).

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Hope Lutheran Church 456 S. Chillicothe Road Aurora, Ohio 44202 or Advent Lutheran Church 230 Oak Grove Road Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
