He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Olson and Anna Olson (Kolat); his sons, Anthony and Scott; and his siblings, Kay, Josephine, John and Andy.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn E. Olson; his children, Janice (Mark), Janett (Steve), Kimberly (late Billy) and Toni; his grandchildren, Nicole (Jamison), David, Alyssa (Tim), Logan (Meghan), Parker and Tyler (Autumn); his great grandchildren, Ariyah, Kenslee, Kylin and Saylor; and his siblings, Mary, Theresa and Michael.
