He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Jenei and Hannah Jenei (Snyder); his son Calvin; and his brother-in-law Elden Diebel. He is survived by: his children, Mark Jenei (Kristy) of New Philadelphia, Stephen Jenei (Letecia) of Cincinnati and Monica Lavelle (Jay) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Kristen Schrump, Caleb, Rebecca, Miriam Jenei, Justin and Carter Lavelle; his siblings, Thomas Jenei (Jeannine) of Northbridge, Massachusetts and Alice Kay of Zoar; and his former wife Karen.
