Bender (Strasburg, Ohio), born in Massillon, Ohio, who passed away on January 10, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Bender and Blanche Bender; his son Jeffrey Bender; and his siblings, Stella Hartong (Paul), Virginia McElhaney (Elmer), Gene Bender and Arden Bender (Frances).

He is survived by: his wife Mary Bender; his children, Greg Bender and Nancy Cregan (Andrew); his grandchildren, Elaine Averbukh, Nicole Jones (William), Sarah Sanfrey (RJ), Camaren Bender, Matthew Bender, Nicolette, Melissa, Andrew and Ethan Cregan; and his great grandchildren, Natasha, Gabriel Averbukh, Thomas Jones, Jacob and Maggie Sanfrey.

“Ray was an amazing person. He love his family so much and always put everyone else's needs before his own. He adored and loved his bride as he called her, (Mary Bender) for over 70 years. He was a very hard worker. He loved coming up the the Speedie Recycling almost every morning to have coffee and cookies. He was a sweet eater. He always ask me to check his stocks. It was always a pleasure to see him and to talk with him. He was loved and will be sadly missed. Love, Vicki”
