He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle D. Ward Sr. and Rebecca Morris; and his siblings, Floyd Ward, Larry Ward, Rodney Ward and Glenda Foster.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Austin, Landry, Madelyn, Kaitlyn, Abigail, Marli, Jerrod, Maci and Declan; his wife Linda Welsch Ward; his daughters, Michelle Hostetler (Daniel) of Dover, Lori Midgley (Dan) of Broadview Heights and Amy Willoughby (Scott) of Strasburg; and his sister Betty (Gary Whiteman).
