He was predeceased by: his father Clinton Smith; his sister Annie Smith; and his stepfather Russel Adkins. He is survived by: his mother Virgie Adkins (Graves); his children, Shawn Smith of Brewster and Lexie Smith of Brewster; his grandchildren, Sophia and Connor Smith; and his brother C. J. Smith.
