He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora J. Hawk and Ida C. Hawk (Emig); his wife Janice M. "Cookie" Hawk; his sons, Dennis Hawk and John Hawk; and his siblings, Bray Hawk, Dale Hawk, Gene Hawk, Bill Hawk, Melvin Hawk and Vivian Barr.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carolyn Beasley (Ricky) of North Carolina, Beverly Hawk of Alabama and Susan Chini (Eugene) of Strasburg; his grandchildren, John Beasley (Chessa), James Beasley, Neil Chini and Laura Nodo (Mike); his great grandchildren, Ace Chini, Ailith Beasley and Mirra Nodo; his sisters, Ednabelle Richardson of Massillon and Alice "Susie" Williams (Roland "Bud") of Michigan; and his sisters-in-law, Janet Hawk of New Philadelphia, Vivian Hawk of Florida, Roberta Hawk of Canal Fulton and Gail Hawk of Jackson Township.
