He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Smith and Sophia Kestner Smith; his daughter Colleen Smith Espenschied; and his siblings, Ferdinand, Wayne, Garland Smith and Carolyn Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Yackey Smith; his son Kevin Smith (JJ) of Cambridge; and his grandsons, Ian and Adam Smith.
