He was predeceased by: his parents, John Voelm and Rose Voelm (Monaco). He is survived by: his wife Brenda Richter Voelm; his son Jonathan Voelm (Desiree) of New Philadelphia; his sister Deb; his brother-in-law Bob Arnold of New Philadelphia; his nieces and nephews, Roby Arnold (Autumn) of Sardis, OH and Ashley Hatcher (Sam) of Dover; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Austynn, Maken, Ella and Avery.
He then attended the California School of Professional Psychology where he received his Ph.D. Butch finished his education with the Devereux Foundation where he received his Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology.
