He was predeceased by: his wife Jill Zuiderhoek; his stepson Doug Likens; his granddaughters, Emily Skalrek and Tiffany Likens; and his sons, John and Jeff Zuiderhoek.

He is survived by: his brother Phillip Zuiderhoek; his stepchildren, Wendy Lindrooth (Marshall) and James Likens; and his grandchildren, Shawna Likens, Tricia Richards, Alicia Bursac, Collin Lindrooth and Cale Likens. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
