It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Lee Distel of Stout, Ohio, born in Portsmouth, Ohio, who passed away on April 29, 2023, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father David Michael; his grandparents, George, Dorothy Piatt, Carl, Jewell Distel and Carla Jo Distel Hall; his brother-in-law Bill Dalton; and his great grandchild Hayden Jo Ruby.
He is survived by: his wife Trudy Ann Dalton Distel; his daughters, Janie Case and Jodie Kouns (Eric McCormick); his siblings, Mark Distel (Lisa), Gwen Roe (Marvin) and Becky Stevens (Jason); his grandchildren, Emilie Ruby (Josh), Zane Jordyn Kouns, Allison Sissel, Gabe Kouns and Trace Kouns (Bash Kouns); his great grandchildren, Gracie Ruby, Jaina Ruby, Jaxon Ruby, Oaklee Ruby, Hannah McKenzie and Rowen Darby; his nieces and nephews, Laura Adkins, Jessica Helton, Kyle Borders, Brian Borders, Kiersten Distel, Makenna Munn, Cason Caplinger, Coalt Dalton, Timothy Dalton (Jen) and Jason Dalton (Jayme); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Destiny Dalton, Trinity Romines, Danica Dalton, Sydney Dalton, Sierra Dalton, Ethan Dalton, Colten Adkins, Jacob Helton, Carly Jo Helton, Annaelise Dalton and Olivia Dalton; and his brothers-in-law, Virgil and Tom Blevins (Mary). He is also survived by family and work friends.
