He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Waite and Alice Perry Waite; his wife Wendy Gillard Waite; and his brother-in-law Larry Hinton. He is survived by: his sons, Jason Waite (Kellie) of Stockport and Justin Waite (Joan) of Stockport; his siblings, Sam Waite (Marilyn) of Stockport, Joe Waite (Darla) of Stockport, Steve Waite (Lisa) of Stockport and Sharon Hinton of Waterford; and his grandchildren, Christopher Waite (Alex), Casey Waite, Joe Schramm and Charlie Waite.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tabor Ridge Church of Christ in Billy's name.
