He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Alexander Rucker and Alma Opal Palmer Rucker; his son Michael Rucker; and his brothers, William Dearnbarger, Eugene Rucker and Ralph Rucker.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise Yoho Rucker; his children, Ronald Rucker (Lisa) of Rocky River, David Rucker (Alison) of Malta and Cindy Wilson (Mark) of Malta; his sister Opal Petry of Navarre, Ohio.; and also, Hackney and Reinersville. He is also survived by Ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
