He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Houser Merritt; his children, Jean Wolfe of Burlington, VT., Angela Shriver (Clint) of Malta, Jennifer Rose (Bennie) of Malta and Robert Miller of Caldwell; his siblings, Jimmy Merritt of Ware, MAS, William Givens of Junction City and Mary Ann Merritt; his son Charlie Merritt III; and his siblings, Robert Givens, Faye Yoas and Mary Shiver. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
