She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Constance Myton Shackles and Thomas Shackles; her husband Joseph E. Schmidhammer; her daughter Joanna Stemen; and her sister Barbara Packer Warner.
She is survived by: her brother John M. Packer; and her children, Jill A. Estep (Ronald L.) and Jonathan B. Schmidhammer. She is also survived by six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
