With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Masie Lavender of Steubenville, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Iola Hudson Lavender and Ross W. Lavender, Sr.; her siblings, Gussie L. Culbreath, Harold E. Lavender and Ross W. Lavender, Jr.; her niece Quiana Lavender; her daughter Diane Lavender (Antwan White); her grandchildren, Dale Benson, Jonika Strickland (Daniel) and Justin Marion; and her great grandchildren, Jalayah Strickland, Zahara Harris, Brayden Benson, Syncere Benson, Andre Benson and Reign Marion.
She is survived by: her sisters, Isabelle Lavender, Rosemary Cain of Steubenville, Ohio, Latricia Solomon of Steubenville, Ohio and Tonya Lavender of Steubenville, Ohio; her sister-in-law Rose Lavender; her brothers, Robert Lavender (Delores) of Kansas City, MO, Curtis Lavender and Lorenzo Lavender (Renita) of Steubenville, OH.; and her uncle Cornwallis Hudson of Birmingham. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousin and extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gregory-Martin Chapel (255 S 7th St, Steubenville, OH 43952). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
