He was predeceased by: his wife Betty J. Calhoun Hilliard; his daughter Connie J. Martin; his parents, Edward L. Hilliard and Evelyn "Ruth" Hilliard; and his brother Edward Hilliard.
He is survived by: his sons, Bob Gotschall (Diane) and James Hilliard (Valerie).
