It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Troy Pertee of Sterling, Ohio, born in Crum, West Virginia, who passed away on August 19, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Pertee and Naoma Pertee (Brumfield); his wife Dianne F. Lutz; and his siblings, Boyd, Everett, Roy, Terry, Mary Etta Dalton, Betty Copley and Carrie Maynard.

He is survived by: his children, Troy, Valerie Pertee of Massillon, Jimmer and Denise Pertee of Sterling; his grandchildren, Matthew Pertee (Bekah), Nikki Pertee Guthrie (Bernie), Jennifer Harding (Nick), Elizabeth Rivera (JD), Erica Rivera and Will Rivera (Melanie); his great grandchildren, Lincoln, Scarlet, Gwendelynn, Gracelynn, Ethan, Makenzie, Braxton, Parker, Dominic, Layne, Adrianna, Gabriella, Aubrey, Marianna and Nina; and his brother Willis Pertee of Barboursville, WV.

“My grandmother (Judie Westfall) was in the room across from Troy and my children loved going to visit him whenever we would visit my grandma! We had just dropped pictures off to him about a week ago that my children drew for him. He loved giving them snacks. We will sure miss visiting him when we go to visit my grandma.
