Sword of Sterling, Ohio, born in Fort Gay, West Virginia, who passed away on April 17, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Sword and Ida Sword (Damron); the mother of his children Dora Taggart; his daughter-in-law Melissa Sword; and his siblings, Alton, Fred Jr., Nathan, Hubert, Woodrow, Reuben, Gracie Mae, Imogene and Gertrude.
He is survived by: his children, Jerry Sword (Kathy) of Seville, Connie Murphy (Richard) of Wooster and Peggy Bragg (Jonathan) of Sterling; his grandchildren, David Sword (Dora) of Wadsworth, Aaron Sword (Stephanie) of Lodi, Kevin Sword (Andrea), BJ Moore (Marke) of Wooster, Jeremy McMillan of Orrville and Brandon McMillan (Kelly Woodruff) of Wooster; his great grandchildren, Bri, Camryn, Tommy, Easton, Josh, Haley, Eli, Jaydan (Sean), Charleigh, Kealey (Daniel) and McKenna; and his great great grandchildren, Garrett, Myla Jo and Xion. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
