He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Nelson and Barbara Nelson (Bailey); and his pet Larkin. He is survived by: his wife Betty Nelson (Shafer); his children, Nichole Gwantley (John), Andrew Nelson (Brooke) and Erin Nelson; his grandchildren, Jaidyn Nelson and Eva Gwantley; and his pets, Buggs, Murphy and Chi Chi.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center (2425 N Limestone St, Springfield, OH 45503). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Tom's honor.
