He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred M. Ridder Jr. and Betty Marie Ridder (Earley); and his sister Lola Rittenhouse. He is survived by: his wife Emily Rosina Ridder (Blosser); his sons, Samuel Melvin Ridder II (Deborah) and Frederick Marshfield Ridder III (Donna); and his brother William Ridder (Twyla). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 4690 Urbana Rd, Springfield, OH 45502.
