He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer May, and Esther May, Jr. (Bailey); his wife Sena Faye May; and his daughter Shelley Algren. He is survived by: his son Todd May (Carrie); his grandchildren, Austin May, Lexi Welsh (Jacob), Allison Scott, Logan Algren, McKenzie Algren and Alivia Algren; his great grandchildren, Owen Scott, Berkley May, Millie Scott, Pennington Welsh and Elowen Welsh; and his sister Judy Summers (Butch). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

“Having been Rick's neighbor for almost 30 years, our sense of loss can only be exceeded by that of his family. I shall miss him and his friendly call of "Hi neighbor!", Whenever he saw me.
