He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Copeland and Lillian Copeland (Wild); and his siblings, Peg, Bub, Bernie, Bob, Mary Ann, Dorothy and Tom.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon A. (Donnelly); his children, Richard C. "Coley" Copeland (Kathy), Cynthia M. Rodman (Tim), Christopher R. Copeland and Lori E. McIlwain (Christian); his grandchildren, Nolan (Claudia), Olivia (Sam), Brooke (Berlain), Jo, Connor, Savannah (Maria), Jessica, Carson and Charlotte; his great grandchild Emery; his brother Michael Copeland; and his friends, Stan Erter (Cynthia), Bob Armentrout (Sue) and Don Schneider. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
