It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marcella Lou Combs of Springfield, Ohio, who passed away on February 25, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Marcella Lou leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Seymour and Ruth Seymour (Love); and her husband Charles Tracy Combs. She is survived by: her daughters, Kathleen Marie Brandle (Edward) and Connie Lynn Forhan (Scott); her granddaughters, Abby Marie Brandle and Sarah Elizabeth Abbott (Steve); and her great grandchildren, Emma Colleen Abbott and Mae Josephine Abbott. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The inurnment was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens (8200 W National Rd, New Carlisle, OH 45344).
Her family asks that in lieu of flowers, in honor of the resident cat at Birchaven, Randall, who lovingly stayed by Marcellas side and never left her in her final days, donations may be made to the Animal Welfare League, 6330 Willow Dale Rd. Springfield, OH 45502.
