It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jessie Louise Shropshire of Springfield, Ohio, who passed away on June 12, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis F. Mabra and Nettie Mabra (Mack); and her brothers, Barry Hopkins Mabra and Charles F. Teasley. She is survived by: her children, Adrian Lee Shropshire (Valarie) and Diana Marie Shropshire; her granddaughter Connie Nicole Shropshire; her children, Lateef Adrian, Ma'Laika, TaHanni, Acaccia and Chikae; her cousins, Berton, Ingrid Keith, Gail and Archie Sibley; and her godchild Ryan McGahee. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Her community involvement included the boards of the Springfield African American Community Foundation, Jobs 'n More, Citi-Lookout Springfield, Ohio and Springfield Children's Ministry Board.
