With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerhard J. Hinderer of Springfield, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 14, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hinderer and Anna Hinderer (Seng); his spouse Beda Hinderer; and his siblings-in-law, Bernard Hower, Ronnie, Royce Pierson (Shirley) and Donna Robare (Gordon).
He is survived by: his sons, Ken Hinderer (Deb), Tom Hinderer (Kay), Douglas Hinderer (Marilyn) and David Hinderer (Vickie); his sister Elizabeth Hower; his sister-in-law Sarah Pierson; and his grandchildren, Ross Hinderer (Samantha), Christian Hinderer (Julia), Amanda Wolf (Todd), Crystal Steiger (Thomas), Amanda Downing (Eric), Anna Hinderer, Laura Hinderer, Brandon Elmore (Alexis Steinmetz), Beda Hinderer (Seth Kennedy), Boris Hinderer (Kristin Conroy), Clint Hinderer, Halley Hinderer and Summer Baker (Bradley).
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial (838 E High St, Springfield, OH 45505). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
