With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Asper of Springfield, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 24, 2025 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar A. Asper and Martha E. Asper (Hammann); his siblings, Sonny Asper and Marjorie Lou Asper; his parents-in-law, Bob and Lucille Kriegbaum; and his brother-in-law Kenny Wheeler.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth E. Asper (Wheeler); his children, Tracy Stehle (Asper) and Donald "D. J." Asper, Jr.; his grandchildren, Amanda Crowell (Justin), Charles Asper and Madeline Asper; his great grandchildren, Arabella Crowell, Chase, Skyler, Wyatt, Charlotte Asper, Jax Asper, Riley and Blake Wade; and his sisters-in-law, Joy Johnson (Gary), Kaye Linardos (John) and Julie Newell (Tommy).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens Chapel (8200 W National Rd, New Carlisle, OH 45344). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens Chapel, W. National Road (8200 W National Rd, New Carlisle, OH 45344).
