He was predeceased by: his parents, Rodney Thurman and Ruth Thurman; his wives, Anna Lee Thurman and Betty Thurman; his daughter Paula Goble; his grandson Clarence Edward Thurman III; and his siblings, Rodney, Donnie, Bobby Thurman and Jane Moore.
He is survived by: his children, Marci Pechacek (Clint) and Ed Thurman II (Deann); his grandchildren, Andrew Hendrixson, Brackney Pechacek, Jason Hard (Brittany), Amber Hard, Michelle Edgington, Jessyca Jackson, Nathaniel Goble, Franklin Goble, Barbara Thurman and Lisa Thurman; his siblings, Charlie Thurman and Ruthann Puckett; and his close friend Judy Frabotta. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
